“Verily one of us prefers shade over standing in the sun, but we won’t prefer Paradise over the Fire!”

[Al-Ihyaa, 4/568]

‘Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood said:

“There isn’t any true relaxation for the believers besides the meeting of Allaah.”

[Az-Zuhd of Ahmad, p.194]

[Al-Hilyah, 2/114]

Are Suicide Bombing Permissible In Islaam? By Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen

Posted in Brothers Base with tags , , , , , , , , on September 28, 2011 by TheAuthenticBase

“… As for what some people do regarding activities of suicide, tying explosives to themselves and then approaching unbelievers and detonating them amongst them, then this is a case of suicide – and Allaah’s refuge is sought.

So whoever commits suicide then he will be considered eternally to Hell-Fire, remaining there forever, as occurs in the hadeeth of the Prophet (saw):

And whoever kills himself with an iron weapon, then the iron weapon will remain in his hand, and he will continuously stab himself in his belly with it in the Fire of Hell eternally, forever and ever.” [Bukhaaree & Muslim]

Because this person has killed himself and has not benefited Islaam. So if he kills himself along with ten or a hundred or two hundred other people, then Islaam will not benefit by that, since the people will not accept Islaam, contrary to the story of the boy.

Rather it will probably just make the enemy more determined, and this action will provoke malice and bitterness in his heart to such an extent that he may seek to wreak havoc upon Muslims.

So what we hold is that those people who perform these suicide (bombings) have wrongfully committed suicide, and that this necessitates entry into Hell-Fire, and Allaah’s refuge is sought, and that this person is not a martyr (shaheed).”

[Taken from the shaykh’s explanantion of Riyaadhus Saaliheen 1/165-166, while discussing the story of the boy and the king]

‘Aun Ibn ‘Abdillaah Ibn ‘Utbah said:

The slave worrying about his sins is a motive to leaving them off, his remorse for them is a key to repentance, and a slave will not continue to worry about the sin that he commits until it becomes more beneficial to him then some of his good deeds.”

[Al-Hilyah, 4/251]

al-hasan Al-Basree said:

“Verily, a man commits a sin and never forgets it and he won’t cease to be afraid of it until he enters Paradise.”

“There can’t possibly be a better neighbour for the slave in his grave than abundant istighfaar.”

“If you loved a man for the sake of Allah and then he innovated an innovation in Islam and you did not hate him for it, then you didn’t (really) love him for the sake of Allah.”

1) To beautify your eyes, lower your gaze towards strange men, this will make your eyes pure and shiny.

2) To beautify your face and make it shiny, keep doing wudhoo’ minimum five times a day.

3) To have attractive lips, always mention Allah and remember to speak the truth.

4) As for blush and rouge, “Modesty” (Haya) is one of the best brands and it can be found in any of the Islamic centers.

5) To remove impurities from your face and body, use a soap called “Astaghfaar” (seeking forgiveness of Allah) this soap will remove any bad deeds.

6) Now about your hair, if any of you has a problem of hair split ends, then I suggest “Islamic Hijab” which will protect your hair from damage.

7) As for jewelry, beautify your hands with humbleness and let your hands be generous and give charity to the poor.

8) To avoid heart disease, forgive people who hurt your feelings.

9) Your necklace should be a sign to pardon your fellow brothers and sisters.

If you follow these advices given to you by the Creator, you will have a beautiful inner and outer appearance.

Ahmad Ibn ‘Aasim said:

“Surely, this is the easy prey, clean up the rest of your life and you will be forgiven for your past.”

[Az-Zuhd Al-Kabeer, p.228]

Talq Ibn Habeeb said:

“Verily, Allaah’s rights are far too heavy for the slaves to fulfill, and indeed, the favours of Allaah are far too many for the slaves to count, however, wake up as repentants, and go to sleep as repentants.”

[Al-Musannaf, 7/182]

Ja’far said:

“Once it was said to Sa’eed Ibn Jubayr, ‘Who from the people is of the most worship?

He answered, ‘The man who has committed sins and whenever he remembers his sins, he looks down on his [good] deeds.‘ “

The Impermissibility Of Doing Tawaaf Around The Graves

Posted in Tawheed/Shirk with tags , , , , on September 13, 2011 by TheAuthenticBase

Ibn Al-Hajj Al-Maalikee said:

“It is not permissible to make tawaaf around tombs as tawaaf is only to be made around the Ancient House (i.e. the Ka’ba). Likewise it is not legislated to kiss or give salutations to any place except the Ancient House, and likewise it is not legislated to kiss or give salutations to anything excpt the Black Stone.”

[Al-Madkhal – as noted in Al-Mushaahadaat Al-Ma’soomiyyah, p. 73]

Al-Aloosee Al-Hanafee said:

“I have seen those who allow what the ignorant do at the grave of the dead pious such as honoring graves, building tombstones over graves, lighting graves with candles, praying to graves, making tawaaf around graves, kissing them, gathering by the graves at specific times and other practices. All of that is opposition to Allaah and His Messenger (saw) and innovating in the Deen that which Allaah did not permit.

It would suffice you to know the truth by following what the companions of the Messenger did with his (saw) grave. His (saw) grave is the most virtuous grave on the face of the earth; therefore you should stop at what the companions did when they visited his grave and gave salutations.”

[Rooh Al-Ma’aanee, 15/239-240]

Al-Awzaa’ee said:

“The most excellent du’aa is insistence upon Allaah and earnest imploring unto Him.”

[Ash-Shu’ab, 2/1107]

Ibn ‘Uyaynah said:

“Don’t ever leave off making du’aa nor allow what [bad deeds] you commit to prevent you from it, for indeed Allaah answered the du’aa of Iblees (the Devil) and he is the most evil of creation [when he said to Allaah] “Grant me respite until the Day in which they will be resurrected.’ He (Allaah) said, ‘Indeed you are from those who are granted respite.’ ” [7:14-15]”

[Ash-Shu’ab, 2/1147]

Yahyaa Ibn Mu’aadh said:

“Do not find slow the answer to your du’aas when you have shut off its path with your sins.”

[As-Siyar, 13/15]
