Loving For Others What You Love For Yourself

Al-Misree said:

“A man came to Sulaymeen Ibn Harb and said, ‘Your mawla so and so has died and has left the value of twenty-thousand dirhams.’

So he said, ‘So and so is more closely related to him than myself, the wealth is for him and not me.

And at that time he was in need of a dirham.”

Sulaymeen Ibn Harb was born in the year 140H and died in 224H.

Those who narrated from him include the likes of: Imaam Bukhaaree, Aboo Daawood, Imaam Ahmad amongst others.
