“Islaam Does Not Allow Its Followers To Sit Idle…”

Ash-Shaheed Sayyid Qutb said:

“When a community does not stand up to wrongdoers, when it does not take any positive steps to punish transgressors, it deserves to share in the punishment of those wrongdoers and transgressors.

It should be said that the worst type of wrongdoing is to abandon Allaah’s law which He has laid down to be implemented in human life. As a system, Islaam has a serious outlook based on mutual help and solidarity within the community.

Islaam does not allow its followers to sit idle when injustice, corruption and wrongdoing continue on the rampage, let alone sees Allaah’s faith abandoned and His Godhead denied in order to be substituted by false claims.

Such people cannot hope to be spared trial and temptation simple because they are good within themselves.”

  1. Assalamualaikum, brother, I need your help in finding a reference to a story related to Ibrahim (as.). Please can you help me?

    • Wassalaamu alaykum, akhi tbh I’m extremely busy atm. Do forgive me akhi, but its something which takes priority over ilm at this current time.

But still, narrate the story here and inshaaAllaah if I don’t reply to you, I’m sure another bro or sis will respond.

      • Here it is:
One time, an angel wanted to test the Imaan of Ibrahim (Alayhi As-Salām) in order to prove Ibrahim (Alayhi As-Salām) as the rightful friend of Allah. It happened during the time when Ibrahim (Alayhi As-Salām) used to graze his cattle on the meadows and one except for him was a Muslim. The angel disguised himself as a human and presented himself to Ibrahim (Alayhi As-Salām). Then the angel uttered the word, “Allah”.
Ibrahim (Alayhi As-Salām) upon hearing the angel’s word rushed towards him and asked, “Can you once more repeat the name of my Lord?”
The angel agreed but only on one condition, Ibrahim (Alayhi As-Salām) had to give all his cattle to the angel. Ibrahim (Alayhi As-Salām) accepted the angel’s offer immediately. Then the angel uttered the name of Allah once more. Ibrahim (Alayhi As-Salām) gave the angel all his cattle. Then Ibrahim (Alayhi As-Salām) wanted to hear the name of Allah for the third time.
The angel asked, “What else can you offer me? You no longer have any cattle.”
Ibrahim (Alayhi As-Salām) replied, “If you utter Allah’s name, then I will serve you as a servant”
The angel then finally revealed his identity and then Allah bestowed more wealth for Ibrahim (Alayhi As-Salām) because of his desperation in spreading Islam across the globe.

And it is fine brother, you can reply to me as soon as you are done with your work. :)
