The Sincerity Of Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdul Wahhaab In Reaching The Truth

Posted in Miscellaneous with tags , , , , , on February 20, 2017 by TheAuthenticBase

Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab said:

“If I give a ruling or perform any deed and you know that I am wrong, it is obligatory upon you to clarify the truth to your Muslim brother.”

[Mu’allifaat, 7/240]

He also said:

“If the truth is with them (his opponents) or if we have some truth and some falsehood or we have gone to an extreme in some matters then it is obligatory upon you to point it out and to advise us and to show us the statements of the people of knowledge. Perhaps, through you, Allaah will guide us back to the truth.”

Ibn Taymiyyah said:

“As for the occupying enemy who is spoiling the religion and the world, there is nothing more compulsory after faith (Iman) than repelling him.”

Using One’s Left Hand For Siwāk

Ibn Taymiyyah said:

“One should use his left hand when using the siwāk. This is Imām Ahmad’s view as reported by Mansūr Al-Kawsaj in his Masā’il. None of the Imāms held an opposite opinion – as far as I know – for using the siwāk is a way of cleaning oneself just like blowing the nose, cleaning oneself from najāsah and the like; all such acts must be done using one’s left hand.”

Relaxation Through Worship

Shaykh ‘Abdullaah ‘Azzaam said:

“Why does a person become relaxed? A person becomes relaxed as the result of worship, because this fills the empty space inside. That empty space that is reserved specifically for worship becomes filled with it. So a person becomes relaxed when he fills himself with worship, just like when a motor is filled with oil.”

What Is Jihaad? And Why Do The Believers Fight?

Ash-Shaheed Sayyid Qutb said about jihaad:

“It is a battle for Allaah, to establish His authority on earth and to overthrow all tyrants who try to usurp this authority. In short, it is a fight to make Allaah’s word supreme. It has no motive of imposing the authority of any person, group or nation, or making any personal or national gain.”

He then went on to say, explaining why believers go out to fight:

(1) Believers go out to fight for Allaah’s cause, to establish His authority and Lordship over human life, and to ensure people’s submission to Him alone.

(2) They seek to destroy the tyrants who usurp Allaah’s authority and claim sovereignty for themselves, having no basis for their claim in the form of a permission granted by Allaah or His law.

(3) They fight to declare the liberation of mankind throughout the world from any bondage to any authority, since such bondage represents a humiliation of man.

(4) Believers fight in order to protect people’s rights, freedom and integrity, not to humiliate other races and peoples through the abuse of power Allaah has granted them.

(5) They go out to fight seeking no personal gain whatsoever. Victory brings them nothing other than having obeyed Allaah’s command to go on jihaad, to establish the code of living He has revealed, to make Allaah’s word supreme and to seek His grace and pleasure.”

Further on he says:

“Right at the outset, Islaam rules out any war undertaken for the glory of individuals and states. It rejects all campaigns that seek to exploit resources and open markets, or to subjugate and humiliate other communities.

Islaam has nothing to do with any war that tries to establish the superiority of one class, race, nation, or state over another. The only type of campaign which Islaam approves of is one undertaken for God’s cause.”

The State Of A Believer And A Hypocrite

Posted in Miscellaneous with tags , , , , , , , , on October 1, 2016 by TheAuthenticBase

[The Believer]

“And the believer – subhaanAllaah, glory be to You, O Lord – is liked by everyone no matter what. Why?

The believer isn’t fake. There is nothing you can hold against him. What he does in secret is what he does openly. There aren’t secret acts and public acts. He doesn’t have a personality in secret and a different one in public. They are both the same. So, if you were to peek into his life when he’s alone, you would find him even better than he is in public. If you were to see him at home at night, you would find him either praying, sleeping, eating suhoor, or reciting the Quraan. There is nothing you can hold against him. There is no girl he has snuck in to commit indecent acts with, nor does he have stolen money that he is counting.

His outer condition is like his inner condition. In fact, his inner condition is even better than his outer, and the early Muslims would say, “O Allaah, make our inner condition better than our outer condition, and make our outer condition good.” There is nothing you can hold against him. He has inner confidence, is sure of himself, and is relaxed.

[The Hypocrite]

As for the hypocrite, he fears that everyone will discover his faults and that they are privy to his sins. This is why it’s as if the suspicious person wants to tell people, “Take me away. Take me away.” Why? He is filled with faults, and he suspects that this person knows of them, that person found out, etc. So his whole life is full of anxiety and constriction.”

The Truth Refuses To Be Confined To A Geographical Location

Sayyid Qutb said:

“Islamic jihaad seeks to replace the dominance of non-Islamic systems. This revolution is not territorial but international, though as a starter the members of the Muslim party, wherever they live, should focus on that place.

Their eventual goal should, however, be a world revolution for the simple reason that any revolutionary ideology, which is humanity specific and seeking universal welfare, cannot reduce itself to a particular state or nation. It is innate in its nature to embrace the whole world, for the truth refuses to be confined to geography. For it, truth is indivisible: if it is truth on one side of the river, it is the same truth on the other side a well.”
