The Sincerity Of Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdul Wahhaab In Reaching The Truth

Posted in Miscellaneous with tags , , , , , on February 20, 2017 by TheAuthenticBase

Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab said:

“If I give a ruling or perform any deed and you know that I am wrong, it is obligatory upon you to clarify the truth to your Muslim brother.”

[Mu’allifaat, 7/240]

He also said:

“If the truth is with them (his opponents) or if we have some truth and some falsehood or we have gone to an extreme in some matters then it is obligatory upon you to point it out and to advise us and to show us the statements of the people of knowledge. Perhaps, through you, Allaah will guide us back to the truth.”

[Mu’ allifaat, 7/301]

Debating In The Religion

Zuhree said:

“Aboo Salamah used to debate with Ibn ‘Abbaas, (and) because of this, he was hindered from great knowledge.” [Jaami Al-‘Uloom Wa Al-Hikam, 1/518]

Maymoon Ibn Mihraan said:

“Do not debate with the one who is more knowledgeable than you, for if you do that he will hoard form you all his knowledge and he won’t be harmed by anything that you say to him at the least.” [Jaami Al-‘Uloom Wa Al-Hikam, 1/517]

‘Abdul-Kareem Al-Jazaree said:

“A pious man never debates.” [Ash-Shu’ab, 8129]

Haytham Ibn Jameel was asked:

“A man is well learned with regards to the affairs of the Sunnah, should he debate and argue about them?”

He replied:

“No, however he should inform the people about the Sunnah, so if it is accepted from him then good and if not then he should keep silent.” [Jaami’u Bayaan Al-‘Ilmi Wa Fadhlihi, 4/94]

Debating An Innovator

The Shaikh of Aboo Daawood and an-Nisaaee once debated an innovator who said the Qur’aan is created (i.e. the speech of Allaah is created) this is what took place.

The Shaikh: Did the Prophet and his successors know of this bid’a?

The innovator: No they did not know of this.

The Shaikh: So if they did not know of this, how is it possible that you came to know of it?

The innovator: (retracts his statement) No, they knew about it.

The Shaikh: If they indeed did know of it, do you truly think they would not have mentioned it (in a hadeeth etc) or call mankind towards this (knowledge) or was that not a possibilty?

The innovator: No they kept quite about it and did not mention it.

The Shaikh: So you are saying that something the Messenger of Allaah and his companions kept silent about and did not mention, you mention instead?!

And thus the innovator was dumb struck and the Khaleefah at that time was so impressed that he supported the Sunnah and ordered those who spoke about matters our Prophet did not speak about (i.e. spreading lies about him) to be taken far away from his presence.

Where Is Allah? Debate Between Sh. Albaanee & A Azharee Shaykh

Posted in 'Aqeedah with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on March 21, 2011 by TheAuthenticBase

This is a debate between the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah (who believe that Allah is above everything) and the Matureedees/Ash’arees who do not believe thus. It also deals with their false claims about Ahlus Sunnah.

Debate about where is Allah:

This is a bit technical but inshallah all of us will understand by Allah’s guidance.

Azhari Shaikh: You (the Salafis) have put Allah in a place.

Shaikh Al Albani: May Allah be raised above this! This is a great lie.

The Shaikh then said: Then a research between myself and him came about.

I (Shaikh Al Albani) said to him: Oh teacher! Is place (makaan) something present or absent?

Azhari Shaikh: No, it is something present.

I said: And is what is present limited or unlimited?

Azhari Shaikh: Limited.

I said: Ok let us research now: we are on the earth, what is above us?

Azhari Shaikh: The first heaven.

I said: Until the seventh?

Azhari Shaikh: Until the 7th.

I said: And above the seventh?

The Quarrelsome Person

And of mankind there is he whose speech may please you (O Muhammad SAW), in this worldly life, and he calls Allâh to witness as to that which is in his heart, yet he is the most quarrelsome of the opponents.” [Surah al-Baqarah 2:204]

Narrated ‘Aisha: The Prophet said, “The most hated person in the sight of Allah is the most quarrelsome person.” (Bukhari)

Narrated AbuUmamah: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: “I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.” (Abu Dawud)
