A Few Requirements Of Faith Which We All Should Know

Posted in 'Aqeedah with tags , , , , , , , , on April 1, 2017 by TheAuthenticBase

Ibn Taymiyyah said:

“The declaration of faith, ‘There is none worthy of worship except Allaah’, requires you to love  only for the sake of Allaah, to hate only for the sake of Allaah, to ally yourself only for the sake of Allaah, to declare enmity only for the sake of Allaah. It requires you to love what Allaah loves and to hate what Allaah hates.

It also requires you to ally yourself to the Muslims wherever you find them and to oppose the disbelievers, even if they are your closest kin.”

1) Imitating them in dress and lingo

2) Residing in their lands and not moving from their lands to the lands of the Muslims to save one’s Deen (i.e, hijrah).

3) Travelling to the lands of the kuffaar for tourism and vacation.

4) Helping them, giving them victory over the Muslims, speaking well of them and defending their honour.

5) Seeking their aid, trusting them, putting them in positions to know the secrets of the Muslims and making them advisors.

6) Using their calendar instead of the Islaamic calendar and, more importantly, observing the holidays on their calendar, like Christmas etc.

7) Observing their holidays or helping them to make that celebration or congratulating them for their holidays or just being present at their celebrations.

8) Speaking well of them through what they have of material wealth and being satisfied with their behaviour without looking at their deen which is a false deen.

9) Using their names.

10) Supplicating for them and being compassionate to them.

The People Of Innovation Hating The People Of Hadeeth

Ahmad Ibn Sinaan Al-Qattaan said:

“There is no innovator in this world except that he detests the Ahlul-Hadeeth (the people of hadeth). So when a man innovates (into the religion) the sweetness of the hadeeth is removed from his heart.” [Sharf Ashaabil Hadeeth, p.73]

Aboo Nasr Ibn Salaam Al-Faqeeh said:

“There is nothing more severe (burdensome) upon the Ahlul-Ilhaad (the people of deviation) and nothing is more detestable to them than listening to the hadeeth and its being mentioned with its chain of narration.” [Sharf Ashaabil Hadeeth, p.73]

Al-Haakim said:

“I heard Shaykh Aboo Bakr Ahmad Ibn Ishaaq Ibn Ayyoob Al-Faqeeh while he was arguing with a man. Shaykh Aboo Bakr said, ‘So and so narrated to us…’ and the man said to him, ‘Enough of the one who narrated to us! Up until when will he narrate to us?!

So the shaykh said to him, ‘Stand up (and leave), O Kaafir! And it is not permissible for you, after this, to enter my house ever again.’ Then he turned to us and said, ‘I have never said to anyone, ‘Do not enter my house’ except to this (man).‘ ” [At-Tabaqaat of As-Subkee, 3/10]

Aboo Haatim Ar-Raazee said:

“The sign of Ahlul Bid’ah (the people of innovation) is that they attack those who cling to the narrations.” [Usool Al-‘Itiqaad, 2/179]

‘Alee (ra) is reported to have said:

“Hate no one, no matter how much they’ve wronged you.
Live humbly, no matter how wealthy you become.
Think positively no matter how hard life is.
Give much, even if you’ve been given little.
Keep in touch with the ones who have forgotten you.
And forgive the one who has wronged you.
And do not stop praying for the best of those whom you love.”

Become a scholar if you are able.
If you are not able, then be a student.
If you can not, then show love for them.
If you are unable to do that, then (at least) do not hate them.

1 – ‘Umar bin al-Khattab(r.a) said:

If one of you is blessed with affection from his brother, he should hold onto that as tightly as possible, as it is quite rare for one to be blessed with this.

2 – ‘Umar(r.a) also said:

Nobody is given anything besides his Islam better than a righteous friend.

3 – ‘Ali bin Abi Talib(r.a) said:

Tend to your brothers, as they are your sustenance in this world and the next. Do you not hear the saying of the people of Hell: {“Now, we have neither intercessors nor close friends to help us!”} [ash-Shu’ara’; 100-1]?”‘Ali bin Abi Talib(r.a)

4 – ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar(r.a) said:

By Allah, if I fasted all day without eating, prayed all night without sleeping, spent all of my wealth in the Path of Allah, died the day I died, but had no love in my heart for those who obey Allah, and no hatred in my heart for those who disobey Allah, none of this would benefit me in the least.

5 – ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud(r.a) said:

If a man were to stand for seventy years worshipping Allah between the Yemeni Corner and the Maqam of Ibrahim (at the Ka’bah), he would still be resurrected on the Day of Judgement with those whom he loved.

6 – Ibn as-Sammak said, on his deathbed:

O Allah! You Know that, even if I had disobeyed You, I loved those who obeyed You! So, make this for me a means of nearness to You!

If You Can’t Become A Scholar Then Do This…

Umar ibn Abdul Azeez (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ فَكُنْ عَالِماً

Become a scholar if you are able.

فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَكُنْ مُتَعَلِّماً

If you are not able, then be a student.

وَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَأَحَبَّهُمْ

If you can not, then show love for them.

وَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَلا َتَبْغَضُهُمْ.

If you are unable to do that, then (at least) do not hate them.
