‘Alee, The Jew & The Shield

Posted in Inspirational Stories with tags , , , , , , , on August 10, 2015 by TheAuthenticBase

When ‘Alee Ibn Abee Taalib set out for the battle of Siffeen, he lost a shield. When the battle was over and he returned to Koofah, he found the shield in the possession of a Jewish man who was selling it in the marketplace.

He said to him: “O Jew, this shield is mine, I did not sell it or give it away.”

The Jew said: “It is my shield and it is in my possession.”

‘Alee said: “Lets go to the judge.”

So they went to Shurayh, and ‘Alee sat beside Shurayh while the Jew sat in front of him. Shurayh said: “Speak O Ameer Al-Mu’mineen.”

He said: “Yes. I say that this shield that is in the Jew’s hands is my shield. I did not sell it or give it away.”

Shurayh said: “O Ameer Al-Mu’mineen, give me proof.”

He said: “Yes. Qunbur (the freed save of ‘Alee), Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn will bear witness that this shield is mine.”

Shurayh said: “The testimony of the son for the father does not count.”

‘Alee said: “The testimony of a man who is one of the people of paradise does not count? I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say, ‘Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn will be the leaders of the youth among the people of Paradise.’

The Jew said: “The Ameer Al-Mu’mineen brought me to this judge and this judge is ruling against him? I bear witness that this is the truth; I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah and that the shield is your shield. You were riding on your dusky camel, heading towards Siffeen; you dropped this (shield) at night, and I picked it up.

‘Alee said: “Since you admit it, it is yours,” and he gave him a horse too. Shurayh later on said that he saw him when he went out to fight the Khawaarij with ‘Alee at Nahrawaan.

The Similarities Between The Jews And The Shee’ah, By Ibn Taymiyyah

Ibn Taymiyyah said:

“The sign of this is that the ordeal of the Raafidhah is similar to that of the Jews. The Jews said kingship can only be in the family of Daawood, and the Raafidhah said that Imaamate can only be from the children of ‘Alee.

The Jews said, ‘There can be no jihaad in the path of Allah until the Pseudo-Christ emerges forth and the command to fight is given.‘ The Raafidhah said, ‘There is no jihaad in the path of Allaah until Mahdi emerges and a caller calls from the heavens to fight.

The Jews delay their prayers till the stars are ablaze at night and the Raafidhah delay the Maghrib prayer till that time at night. The Prophet (saw) said: “My Ummah will be in a state of good affairs as long as they do not delay the Maghrib prayer till the stars are ablaze at night.” [Ahmad, Abu Daawood & Ibn Maajah]

The Jews distorted the Torah, as did the Raafidhah with the Qur’aan.

The Jews do not see it lawful to wipe over the socks during ablution, as is the belief of the Rafidhah.

The Jews despise Jibreel, and they say, ‘He is our enemy from amongst the Angels.‘ The Raafidhah say, ‘Jibreel made a mistake in giving the Wahi (revelation) to Prophet Muhammad (saw).‘ ”

Ibn Hajar Al Asqalani (a chief of the court in Egypt) used to wear very nice clothes. Once he met a Jew wearing old /torn clothes. The Jew stopped Al Asqalani and asked him: “Don’t you see the situation I am in and compare it with the bounty you enjoy, although I am unbeliever and you are believer? How can you explain your Prophet’s saying: ‘Life on this earth is like a prison for the believers and a garden for unbelievers?

Ibn Hajar answered him: “Although you have a miserable life on earth, you will consider yourself in paradise compare to what you will suffer in the hereafter if you die as an unbeliever. For me with all this bounty I have, if Allah Subhanahu wata’ala will reward me with Paradise, then this life will be like a prison to me compared to life in Paradise.

The Jew said, “If it is so, then I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His Prophet.

The hadeeth is saheeh. Collected in Muslim, Ahmad, Tirmithee, & Ibn Maajah.

Upholding The Honor Of Your Muslim Brother And Sister

At the time of ‘Umar, there were two young righteous men who were as close as brothers. One of them went out to join one of the battles the Muslims were facing, and he asked his brother to look after his family.

One night he went to check on his brothers family and he saw a lamp burning in the house, and there was a Jew in the house with his brother’s wife, reciting lines of provocative verses (calling her to have sexual relations with him).

The young man went back to his own house and fetched a sword, then he entered his brother’s house and killed the Jew whom he then stripped and threw into the street.

The next morning they found the body and nobody knew who killed him. They went to ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab and told him about that.

‘Umar called out to the people, “As-Salaatu Jaami’ah (the prayer is about to begin).

The people gathered, then ‘Umar ascended the mimbar (pulpit); he praised and glorified Allaah, then he said, “I adjure by Allaah any man who knows anything about this body to tell me about it.

The young man (who killed him) stood up and told ‘Umar about what had happened.

‘Umar said, “May Allaah protect your hands,” and he regarded it as legitimate to have shed his blood.

A Beautiful Passage From Soorah Al-A’raf (The Heights)

144. (Allah) said: “O Musa (Moses) I have chosen you above men by My Messages, and by My speaking (to you). So hold that which I have given you and be of the grateful.”

145. And We wrote for him on the Tablets the lesson to be drawn from all things and the explanation of all things (and said): Hold unto these with firmness, and enjoin your people to take the better therein. I shall show you the home of Al-Fasiqun (the rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

146. I shall turn away from My Ayat (verses of the Qur’an) those who behave arrogantly on the earth, without a right, and (even) if they see all theAyat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they will not believe in them. And if they see the way of righteousness (monotheism, piety, and good deeds), they will not adopt it as the Way, but if they see the way of error (polytheism, crimes and evil deeds), they will adopt that way, that is because they have rejected Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were heedless (to learn a lesson) from them.

147. Those who deny Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and the Meeting in the Hereafter (Day of Resurrection,), vain are their deeds. Do they expect to be rewarded with anything except what they used to do?

148. And the people of Musa (Moses) made in his absence, out of their ornaments, the image of a calf (for worship). It had a sound (as if it was mooing). Did they not see that it could neither speak to them nor guide them to the way? They took it for worship and they were Zalimun (wrong-doers).

149. And when they regretted and saw that they had gone astray, they (repented and) said: “If our Lord have not mercy upon us and forgive us, we shall certainly be of the losers.”

150. And when Musa (Moses) returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said: “What an evil thing is that which you have done (i.e. worshipping the calf) during my absence. Did you hasten and go ahead as regards the matter of your Lord (you left His worship)?” And he threw down the Tablets and seized his brother by (the hair of) his head and dragged him towards him. Harun (Aaron) said: “O son of my mother! Indeed the people judged me weak and were about to kill me, so make not the enemies rejoice over me, nor put me amongst the people who are Zalimun (wrong-doers).”

151. Musa (Moses) said: “O my Lord! Forgive me and my brother, and make us enter into Your Mercy, for you are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.”

152. Certainly, those who took the calf (for worship), wrath from their Lord and humiliation will come upon them in the life of this world. Thus do We recompense those who invent lies.

153. But those who committed evil deeds and then repented afterwards and believed, verily, your Lord after (all) that is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

154. And when the anger of Musa (Moses) was appeased, he took up the Tablets, and in their inscription was guidance and mercy for those who fear their Lord.

155. And Musa (Moses) chose out of his people seventy (of the best) men for Our appointed time and place of meeting, and when they were seized with a violent earthquake, he said: “O my Lord, if it had been Your Will, You could have destroyed them and me before; would You destroy us for the deeds of the foolish ones among us? It is only Your Trial by which You lead astray whom You will, and keep guided whom You will. You are our Wali (Protector), so forgive us and have Mercy on us, for You are the Best of those who forgive.

Israeli Soldiers ‘Used Child To Check For Booby-Traps’

Israeli Soldiers ‘Used Child To Check For Booby-Traps’

[24 Mar 2010]

Two Israeli soldiers have been accused of using a nine-year-old Palestinian boy to check for booby-traps during last year’s Gaza war.

The staff sergeants in the Givati infantry brigade have been charged with acting “in breach of military norms” by forcing the child at gunpoint to open bags they believed might be rigged with explosives.

The child, identified only as “Majd R”, said he feared for his life.

I thought they would kill me. I became very scared and wet my pants,” he said in an affidavit to Geneva-based children’s group, Defence for Children International.

There were two bags in front of me. I grabbed the first one as he stood one and a half metres away. I opened the bag as he pointed his weapon directly at me. I emptied the bag on the floor. It contained money and papers. I looked at him and he was laughing.

One of the defendants, who have not been identified, said in an army radio interview he felt he and his comrade were being made scapegoats in the face of international criticism of Israel’s offensive, in which about 1,400 Palestinians were killed, among them 400 children.

They were looking for someone to blame in front of the entire world,” the soldier said. “Sadly it was people who really didn’t do anything.

The military said that it began its investigation of the incident in June. It said the probe was unrelated to a UN fact-finding mission which was visiting the Gaza Strip at the same time.

The UN mission, headed by South African former judge Richard Goldstone, later filed a report which concluded that both the Israeli military and Palestinian militants committed war crimes during the 22-day offensive launched on December 27, 2008.

Thirteen Israelis were killed during the war, which Israel launched in response to rocket and mortar attacks from the Islamist Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.
